Our Story
True wealth flows from the earth
Plutos (Πλοῦτος) — son of Demeter, goddess of the harvest — was the ancient Greek god of agricultural wealth. Not gold or silver, but the true abundance of the earth: grain, wine, and olive oil.

"Laconia, at the roots of Taigetos"
The pursuit of
excellence
In Aristophanes' final comedy Plutus (388 BC), the god of wealth wanders the earth blind — Zeus had taken his sight so that riches would fall without regard for virtue. A humble farmer leads Plutos to the temple of Asclepius, the god of healing, where his blindness is cured. At last, wealth flows to those who truly deserve it: the people who work the land with patience and integrity.
Our groves lie in Laconia, in the shadow of Sparta, at the roots of Mount Taigetos. Here, Koroneiki and Athinolia olives have thrived for millennia in the rocky, sun-drenched soil — producing oil of extraordinary character and polyphenol richness.
We harvest early — in October, when most producers are still waiting. This means sacrificing yield for quality. Green, unripe olives contain the highest levels of beneficial compounds, but they give less oil. From tree to press takes no more than 72 hours, at temperatures never exceeding 24°C.
We named our oil after the ancient god because we believe in his restored vision: that the earth's finest gifts belong to those who earn them through care, labor, and respect for the land.
Our Principles
Uncompromising Quality
We produce fewer than 2,500 bottles per harvest. Each bottle is numbered and traceable to specific grove blocks.
Scientific Rigor
Every batch undergoes comprehensive chemical analysis at accredited laboratories. We publish our results transparently.
Terroir Expression
Single-estate production preserves the unique character of our Laconian terroir at the roots of Mount Taigetos. No blending, no shortcuts.
Sustainable Practice
Traditional dry-farming methods, organic cultivation, and minimal intervention. The land sustains us; we sustain it.
Early Harvest
Picking in October when polyphenol content peaks. We sacrifice 30% of potential yield for superior health benefits.
Cold Extraction
Processing never exceeds 24°C. This preserves the volatile compounds that conventional production destroys.
